Did you know that 1 in 3 Oakland youth are victims of violence, while 1 in 4 youth struggle with issues like trauma, anxiety and depression? Through our youth's research over the last 5 years, we've gotten a comprehensive look at how violence and trauma is impacting them. Check out our report findings here.

For our youth.
For our families.

Their vision is clear. The new strategic plan they've set, calls on us to:
1. Build youth agency to mobilize more of them in preventing violence, promoting safety and perpetuating healing in our schools, homes and streets.
2. Advance intergenerational healing among youth and their families, through spaces and education that support their well-being.
3. Develop dynamic youth leaders through community-based programs that help alleviate the impacts of stress, trauma and violence.
4. Strengthen our capacity to employ young leaders through more collaborative and community-centered basebuilding and fundraising efforts.
Since 2007, BAY-Peace has been empowering Bay Area youth to lead organizing, advocacy and community-based arts efforts that transform violence and promote healing. Now it's time to deepen our commitment to them, so we're following their visionary leadership to flourish even further, in this new era of advocating for peace, healing and justice. Join our movement to build bridges towards healing and justice.
