COI Overview
Our Community Organizing Internship is a program specifically for, but not exclusive to, systems impacted youth that integrates vocational training, socio-political education, liberation art, community organizing and healing/personal transformation. COI Interns act as leaders implementing community organizing efforts that aim to transform trauma, promote healing, transform and prevent violence. Organizing strategies include, but are not limited to, guest workshops, events, healing circles and training for adults working with youth.
Program Overview
Community Organizers are responsible for co-leading BAY-Peace community organizing efforts, especially as it pertains to our Youth ARTS Initiative where we implement youth-led efforts that heal trauma, prevent violence and build community through grassroots organizing, community based art & advocacy.
