BAY-Peace is an organization that focuses on
fighting back against aggressive military recruiting
in our schools. We provide workshops and trainings
to give young people real information about the
military that recruiters wouldn’t want you to know.
We are reaching out to youth all over the Bay Area
to organize for better alternatives.
Previously known as Alternatives to War through
Education, BAY-Peace began as a project
of CCCO in October 2004. In the Spring of 2007
BAY-Peace became an independent organization,
and now works in partnership with AFSC
to better serve Bay Area youth.
We appreciate the support of the following groups:
• The Agape Foundation serves as our fiscal sponsor.
• American Friends Service Committee sponsors
Pablo Paredes to work with Bay-Peace as part of
his work with their Youth and Militarism Program.
For their generous financial contributions, we thank
our many individual donors and monthly sustainers, and:
• Agape Foundation
•
A.J. Muste Foundation
• Nonviolent Action Community of Cascadia
• People's Life Fund
