Garden of Growth Mural (2022)

The "Garden of Growth" Mural was painted by Leslie "Dime" Lopez and Inbal Rubin using inspiration from art pieces created by youth during BAY-Peaces virtual Healing Circulos in 2022. This year, BAY-Peace Youth ARTS Program did research on the solutions to violence in our schools, homes and streets. In addition to the surveys they collected, youth used these healing circulos as a space for youth to imagine where safety and healing truly comes from. After the final mural was completed, Youth ARTS Members invited community members to pick up care-packages and take free portraits in front of the mural. 'Wellness is life' Wild pasting poster project (2024)

In 2024, BAY-Peace launched the HYPE Youth Heal program. This program was our first Drop-in and SF Based program. Every month, the youth had wellness education workshops, skills-based trainings a healing-circulo and poster making. During the 8 month program, the youth designed the 8 posters shown below, to serve as a visual representation for Emotional, Environmental, Financial, Intellectual, Occupational, Physical, Social and Spiritual wellness. In addition to these posters being on display at the HYPE Youth Heal center, we also conducted a wild pasting campaign, posting nearly 50 18"x24" sized posters around the SF Potrero and Mission areas.
