August 24 : JAMRS Video Premier!
7pm at the Pacific Film Archives, U.C. Berkeley
Join us for the premier screening of our video about student privacy and the right to opt out of JAMRS, the Joint Advertising Market Research and Studies.
Our 5 minute video "The List" will be show along with several works by youth with The Factory/Bay Area Video Coalition, followed by a panel discussion of the films.
Come out and see some awesome youth talent! Free admission too!

EVENING: Join this bike ride for Peace from Police! Saturday, July 24th, 7 pm Meet at Lakeside Park near Grand & Perkins. Ride will cruise around the Lake, go to Fruitvale BART in remembrance of Oscar and all New Years’ victims, then go to spot nearby where Fred Collins was killed last week, and end in West Oakland at Bikes 4 Life HQ.

Community Gathering on the Day of the Verdict, Youth Speak Out Against Police Abuse Spoken Word Artists, Vocalists, DJ’s & Community Organizers 6pm @ 14th & Broadway, Oakland CA
While the gathering does not have an official “permit”, organizers still intend to maintain a safe space for everyone, and need your help to respect the tone of this rally. The rally will be in the intersection of 14th and Broadway. Organizers are also not planning a march and want to avoid arrests or police activity within this space. Please do not invite police to enter this space or provoke the police from anywhere within or close by to this space. Please do tell everyone you know about this gathering – the best safety is in numbers.

Restorative Justice Circles on the Day of the Verdict: Regardless of what the sentence is, there will be places to gather: Local organizations and the city are working together and have set up these locations as Healing Centers/Speak Outs for everyone who wants to get together to talk it out, and make their feelings known: .
